About Zen Center of Pittsburgh

solitude

Zen Center of Pittsburgh is a Soto Zen Buddhist Temple founded in 1999 by Rev. Kyoki Roberts, now led by the abbot Kotoku Crivello.

Zen Center offers Sunday services, daily meditation, and events within the greater community.

Deep Spring Temple is located just thirty minutes north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on fourteen isolated acres with stunning views of the Western Pennsylvania forests. We offer monthly retreats and for those who would like to investigate ordination, we offer residency training.

Interested in visiting?
Intro to Zen orientation is held online the second Tuesday evening each month.  Following the introduction, you can join our regular Sunday service 9:30 – 11:30 AM, and Wednesday 6:30-8 PM. Both of these sessions are offered live online as well. Visit our For Beginners page for more information and a link to register for the orientation. Attending the introductory session before visiting in-person helps you and the community who practice at the Temple.
